The online gallery that I use to deliver your digital files has several features that you will love! You can download your images to a computer or a mobile device, mark your favourite images, or buy prints of your images. See below for more detailed instructions.
Downloading Images to a Computer
To download a single photo, click on the Download Icon on the image itself. This will save the .jpg file directly to the computer, but it will be a web size image. These only have a resolution of 1024 px on the long side and are best for sharing online, not for printing.
To download your full gallery, click the download icon that is located at the top right corner of the gallery.
You will be asked for your email address and the 4-digit download PIN. The 4-digit PIN can be found in the email you received with your gallery link.
Next you will have the chance to select the sets you would like to download, and also to choose the download size. You can always come back to this page at a later time, and select another size or more sets to download, but make sure that before your gallery expires, you download at least one copy of the full set with Original as the download size. Original images are the highest possible resolution you can download and are best for printing. These will allow you to print your photos at any size.
At this point, you can stay on the page until the files are ready and click the link to save your files, or exit the page and wait for the email with the link. When you click the link, it will download the gallery in a .zip file format, from which you can extract the .jpg files inside.
Next, locate the zipped folder on your computer that you want to unzip (extract) files or folders from. On a Windows computer, right-click the zipped folder, select Extract All, and follow the instructions on the screen. On a Mac computer, just double-click the zipped folder.
In a few easy steps you can download your image directly to your Mobile Device. Start by opening the Collection from your phone using the link found in your email.
Select the image you wish to download, then click on the download icon to begin downloading the image.
Once you click the Download Icon, the image will open in a new window; simply select “OK” to move on. Then hold, or press down on the image on your phone, until the “Save Image” message box appears.
Select Save Image to add it directly to your mobile device’s camera roll. You can continue this process for every other image you wish to download.
You can add photos to one or more Favorite lists as you go through your gallery.
Start by looking for the heart icon on a specific image, then click on the icon to add that image to a Favorite list. Create your own list or choose one that your photographer has created for you. You will be prompted to enter your email address the first time you favorite an image.
You can access your favorited images at any time simply by clicking on the heart icon at the top right corner. You may be prompted to enter the email address the Favorite lists are created under. After logging in, you should see a list of the favorite lists created, and can then click on a list to view the images.
I spend hours correcting the colour and brightness of your images on a calibrated monitor. Unfortunately, all that hard work can fly out the window depending on which photo lab you order your prints and products from. Printing through your online gallery offers a sure fire way to print your images so they look exactly that way they were intended to!
Start by looking for the shopping cart icon on a specific image, then click on the icon to add that image to your shopping cart.
A screen will pop up with all of your different product choices. You can order various sizes of prints as well as other products within your gallery. Simply select your sizes and adjust the quantities and add them to your cart. From here you can either continue shopping or view your cart.
When you’re ready to check out, view your shopping cart. You will notice an “edit crop” button below each print. All images are pre-sized for 4×6, so you don’t need to worry about cropping those. You can adjust the crop if you wish, but I personally check each order after it is submitted and fix the crop before sending it to the lab for printing, so this step is optional.
Once you hit the checkout button, you will be taken to an ordering screen where you’ll just need to fill out your billing and shipping information, along with your payment method. The turnaround time is very fast and most prints are shipped within 1-2 business days. You should then receive them 5-10 days after that.
